Web design in Geneva
The canton, its practices, its shops and its non-profits, just across the border. Bilingual sites and the particularities of ranking in Switzerland.
I am based in Annemasse, at the centre of the Franco-Genevan basin. I cover the French Genevois, the canton of Geneva, the Chablais, the Arve valley and Annecy. Each area has its own market, its own trades and its own search rules: here are the six I know best.
Six areas, six markets
These are not the same page six times with the name changed. The economy of the Arve valley has nothing in common with that of the shores of Lake Annecy, and ranking a Geneva practice is not the same job as ranking a Chablais tradesperson.
The canton, its practices, its shops and its non-profits, just across the border. Bilingual sites and the particularities of ranking in Switzerland.
The most contested market in the department: hotels, restaurants, leisure and the building trades. What it takes to come out on top anyway.
The Chablais, from Douvaine to Évian. Online competition is still light, so the first page can be taken quickly.
The southern gateway to Geneva: French customers who work in Switzerland, and a local offering lagging behind the town’s growth.
The Arve valley and its base of industrial firms. Technical sites, capability catalogues, recruitment pages and an English version.
The town next door to Annemasse. How a business in the town stops being absorbed into Annemasse in Google’s results.
The six pages above cover the areas I know best. They do not mark out a closed perimeter: I work across the whole of Haute-Savoie and in the canton of Geneva.
Towns where I work regularly, in addition to the six above:
Your town is not on the list? That means nothing: the list stops where the space runs out, not where I do. Ask the question and I will reply within 24 working hours.
